The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with a Viton rubber material designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions and surface finishes. Very Sturdy Forks

These forks are very sturdy and similar in quality to Dixie heavyweight forks. They are hard plastic, not maleable, so they hold up well to hot food and can be used to "cut" foods such as lasagna. Good product.
